Road trip to somewhere...

Hotel room parking. This idea wasn't invented by The Horse Magazine, believe it or not.

Calvin Plyler's Shovelhead.  Calvin aka Wildman in the background. He came to an unconventional end by rolling off his roof and breaking his neck. Interesting character to say the least..

I see Tate and Bill Mickey...I think the blond is Pansy, Bill's girlfriend, wife or significant other. Never really knew WHO was married or not, never really cared. Last look at Tate's magenta pan.

No Valet Parking

I love these pics. I wish i had roamed around the myriad of different bikes back then, and been able to appreciate what I was seeing. There were survivors from several kick ass eras, as well as some awesome modern (for the mid-80s) customs.

There's a couple of these with typical parking situations, and the rest are probably for a run or rally. There was usually no less than 4 or 5 bikes out front at any time, which would usually draw in others pretty quick. I'm thinking that Cyclone was the only Harley (or rather, "American motorcycle") place within 50 miles.

This had to scare the shit out of the Rowan County Public Library patrons.
